The updates reflect feedback from exams stakeholders (language-school owners, teachers, and test-takers), changes to the test-taker population (age, interests, etc), and new thinking in language assessment.
Updates are as follows:
Listening part 2 played twice
Reduction in the total number of items
Updated writing task
New listening parts 1 & 2
Listening part 3 played twice
Reduction in the total number of items
New writing task with more time to write and new scoring criteria
In 2020, Michigan Language Assessment will release the following for its stakeholders:
New item samples and specifications regarding the updates (January);
a full-length ECCE sample test (May);
a full-length ECPE sample test (August).
