Growth mindset is characterized by the belief that an individual’s abilities can be developed, improved upon, and cultivated. In other words, it's a belief that success can be learned. A growth mindset leads to increased motivation and a love of learning, thus leading to higher achievement. Additionally, it translates into a resilience that is crucial for great accomplishment.

Reflective—As an educator, it is important to reflect on what is working and what is not. Even though it can be a little uncomfortable, we have to admit when a great lesson was really a flop. We must constantly examine our processes and our concepts to make sure they are what is best for the students we teach.
The Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development, which brings the world the international testing program of 15-year old students known as PISA, just issued a new report called “Measuring Innovation in Education: A New Perspective, Educational Research and Innovation.”
